Day 31. Ketogenic Diet.
Ok, so I've been neglecting this a lot lately.
Basically, after my second week I lost 4kg and was very happy with how I was going but I gained a kilo after my third week and was very disappointed.
Since then I haven't strayed from the keto diet but I haven't been counting my macros and with doing that I haven't been making myself upset daily for going over my carbs and protein or not reaching my fat levels.
I even forgot to weight myself after my 4th week which is annoying.
I'll weigh myself after my 5th week (since I seem to be using this diet as more of a lifestyle choice than just a 4 week test) and hopefully I will have made some more progress.
I've changed things a little, I'm often fasting too. I read that a good way to get into ketosis (and stay in ketosis if you're already there) is too exercise on an empty stomach and to fast. So I'm doing both of these simultaneously.
I'm not doing this every single day but 50% of the time I'm stopping all food intake at 7pm and then fasting right through until 11am the next day.
If I'm at work during my fasting period I will take my lunch break at about 11am and use the gym to do some cardio work and some weight lifting before I eat too.
My wife and I also created some 'fat bombs' using butter, coconut oil and cacao. They were disgusting so we added some stevia sweetener and now they're even more disgusting but I have 24 of these horrible things and I'm going to use them all to help with reaching my daily fat amounts.
It's not much but hopefully it will get me back on track.
