Day 6. Ketogenic Diet.
I'm not going to bother posting each of my meals as it's boring and a little too much work. I'm still using myfitnesspal to check my nutrition and macros.
I'm finding the diet hard, but it's a different type if hard. When I tried vegan for a month about a year ago, I was dreaming of steak, when I did fasting, I was dreaming of ANY food. But with this diet, I'm not wishing I could eat carbs, the diet is very easy to stick to, the hard part is getting to the level that is needed for ketosis.
I need few carbs, slightly more protein and a LOT of fat.
I keep going drastically over on my carbs and protein and eating no where near enough fats.
I think it's a psychological thing, my whole life I've been taught that carbs are what I need to keep me going, protein is needed to repair damaged muscles and that fat is the enemy.
But this diet has completely flipped everything I've ever been taught about food.
Tomorrow is one week and my first weigh in is the day after, I'm gonna go nuts with the fats and try my damndest to keep the carbs and proteins low.
