Day 12. Ketogenic Diet

So it's day 12 and I was reading articles last night about Ketostix and how they aren't very good for reading ketones. Very annoying, the reason is that when you first get into ketosis you urinate a lot of them out so the Ketostix can get a good reading. But once you're in ketosis for a little while the body gets used to it and doesn't get rid of them in your urine so the Ketostix are useless at this point. So basically, I don't know if I'm urinating ketones or not so there's no point in using them.

My wife and I have decided to add intermittent fasting into our keto diet. I read somewhere that fasting is one of the quickest ways to get into ketosis and is also a good way to keep yourself in it too. So from 7pm last night I had nothing but water or coffee with a tiny drop of milk.

It's now 7am the next morning and I've been at work since 6am. I'm not doing too bad but I know I'll be curbing my hunger with a lot of water today.
Roll on 11am when my 16 hour fast is over.
