Intermittent Fasting. Day 28. Weight 89.3kg. Conclusion
The first thing about this diet is that it's not as daunting as you think it's going to be. Not eating just makes eating so much more fun.
One thing that I actually like about it, is the actual hunger, being able to curb my own hunger with a glass of water, I like that idea. It leads me to believe that when I'm eating normally, I could maybe last a little longer without filling my face full of sandwich again.
Also with the hunger, a lot of us don't actually feel hunger any more, not real hunger. We often see or smell something appetising and decide we need to fill our stomachs. Or even if we do feel the slightest bit hungry, we immediately get something to eat and if we don't get that food in us within the hour, we classify ourselves as 'starving.'
I didn't lose much weight during my four weeks but I really wasn't dieting, I was doing this as a test to see what weight could be lost without really caring too much about the food I consumed. I do believe 100% that if I ate well during my eight hours and maybe used the other 16 hours of the day to do some decent meal prep then I would have lost a lot.
The one thing I would have changed would have been the times I chose to fast and to eat.
I chose 2pm - 10pm for my eating hours but if I'd really put my mind to it, 11am - 7pm would have worked a lot better for me.
It means I could have eaten a meal at 11am whilst still at work (when I was the most hungry) then stopped eating at 7pm and because of this, probably get an earlier night and not eat trashy food before bed which is my main cause of weight gain.
Conclusionon in a nutshell: Relatively easy to do but putting a little more thought into it would have given me better results.
